Severe weather swept through the Rochester region Wednesday evening, bringing damaging winds, heavy rain and lightning.

Gusty winds reached up to 50 mph, accompanied by heavy downpours and lightning strikes. Hail as large as quarter size was also reported.

Tornado warnings were issued during the storm, and cloud rotation was witnessed in the area.

The severe weather knocked down numerous trees and led to power outages and flooding across the region.
