Simon Cowell’s Fiancée Marks His 67th Birthday With a Message That Hits Differently This Year

- 516 words
Simon Cowell‘s 67th birthday brought a rare glimpse into his life away from the America’s Got Talent judges’ table. His fiancee, Lauren Silverman, shared a handful of personal photos of the family, including several that included their son, Eric Cowell, along with a heartfelt message about the one thing that makes her the happiest.
On October 7, Silverman took to Instagram to gush over Cowell on his 67th birthday. In the caption, Silverman began, “Happy Birthday to my love.”
“Nearly 15 years together and you still manage to surprise me, make me laugh and keep life anything but predictable (and that might be the understatement of the century),” she wrote.
Silverman noted that through all the highs and lows of their lives together, “there is so much to be grateful for.” She added, “But nothing makes me happier than watching you and Eric together.”
The caption continued, “Here’s to another trip around the sun, more adventures, more laughter, and most importantly, good health, happiness, and all the things that matter.”
Given all that Cowell has been through in recent months with his health, that particular sentiment likely carried more weight than usual.

America’s Got Talent fans know that Cowell had to step away from his role as a judge for the last part of the most recent season in order to have back surgery.
As Entertainment Weekly shared on August 24, Cowell was expected to miss a few weeks of shows, but his rep told the media outlet the upcoming procedure was “routine.”
Unfortunately, Cowell was unable to return before the season ended. Entertainment Weekly noted that Cowell’s back issues have been an ongoing issue for him since August 2020, when he was in a serious electric bike incident.
Cowell received a lot of love from colleagues and fans in the comment section of Silverman’s Instagram post.
Former America’s Got Talent judge Nicole Scherzinger wished him a happy birthday, as did dozens of Cowell’s fans.
One supporter commented, “Simon isn’t 67!!!! No way. He doesn’t look 50!!! That’s the power of a gorgeous younger woman.”
Another added, “Happy 67th birthday Simon. Hope you are recovering well from your back surgery. Missed you on AGT but your co hosts and guests held down the fort for you admirably.”
Someone else wrote, “Happy birthday Simon! I still remember auditioning for you in 2007! Hope your birthday is just as memorable.”
