NH forecast video: Brighter skies expected for Labor Day

Saturday was cloudy and cool, but the weather improves through the holiday weekend. Other than a few lingering showers early today, Sunday afternon features more sunshine. Highs will be in the 60s north to lower 70s south.

Labor Day Monday looks fantastic, with a sunny sky and highs in the mid and upper 70s. Clouds will increase late in the day ahead of a cold front.

Tuesday starts with a few clouds and possibly an early shower, but sunshine returns by the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s. The next widespread chance for showers comes Wednesday into Thursday as a cold front moves through.

Behind the front, gusty northwest winds will usher in cooler air. Temperatures will turn noticeably cooler Thursday night into Friday, with lows in the 40s for most areas. A few upper 30s are possible in the northern valleys. Friday will be sunny with highs near 70, followed by a gradual warm-up into Saturday.
