WTA Miami Day 2 Predictions Including Badosa vs Sasnovich
- 416 words
There are several interesting WTA matches scheduled for the second day in Miami. Paula Badosa, Caty McNally, and Sara Bejlek will be among those who take to the court. As always, we at LWOT predict all the action, including Sloane Stephens vs Jennifer Brady and Venus Williams vs Francesca Jones, in our articles, but which players do you think will win?
WTA Miami Day 2 Predictions
Ashlyn Krueger vs Dayana Yastremska
Head-to-head: First meeting
Neither woman will take a backward step in this match because of their aggressive styles. The lively conditions in Miami mean a high number of winners and unforced errors can be expected. This could go either way, but Krueger is narrowly favored. Yastremska usually performs best against opponents who give her time, and the American will not.
Prediction: Krueger in 3
Caty McNally vs Rebeka Masarova
Head-to-head: First meeting
McNally has only managed one main draw victory in her three previous tournaments during the North American swing. That will likely give Masarova hope of upsetting the home favorite. However, the Swiss player’s game is not suited to handling variety. McNally has that in abundance, making her the most likely winner.
Prediction: McNally in 2
Sara Bejlek vs Talia Gibson
Head-to-head: Gibson 1-0 Bejlek
Both young stars have generated attention this season. Bejlek secured the Abu Dhabi Open title, while Gibson was a quarterfinalist in Indian Wells. This will be just Bejlek’s second match since her run to a maiden WTA title. Against someone as consistent in the rallies as Gibson, who has already played twice in qualifying, I think that will prove decisive.
Prediction: Gibson in 2
Paula Badosa vs Aliaksandra Sasnovich
Head-to-head: Sasnovich 2-1 Badosa
A few weeks ago, Sasnovich overcame Badosa in Abu Dhabi. The Spaniard has endured a challenging start to 2026, and her repeated fitness issues mean there is always uncertainty surrounding her. Reaching the semifinal of a 125K in Austin last week offered some encouragement, though. The conditions for this encounter should suit the Spaniard more than Sasnovich, and she is backed to win this time.
Prediction: Badosa in 2
