FORECAST
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A powerful line of severe storms sweeps through the region between 8PM and 2AM tonight. Significant damaging winds and spin-up tornadoes are the main threats.
Have multiple ways to get warnings tonight! Colder air and snow showers arrive by sunrise Monday.
The Alert Day continues for Monday as snow showers and falling temperatures will create low visibility and perhaps a few slick spots on bridges and overpasses. A coating of snow is possible on grassy and elevated surfaces by Monday evening.
Mainly cloudy and very cold Monday night with lingering flurries possible. Actual lows in the teens are expected while wind chills in the single digits are possible by Tuesday morning.
Despite a partly sunny sky Tuesday, do not count on a big warm up. Temperatures likely stay below freezing all day in many areas. Flurries may linger Tuesday morning before fading by midday.
We’ll be watching another chance for light snow showers Wednesday morning before warmer weather returns late week.
