Final Injury Report for Wizards-Celtics: Will Jayson Tatum, Derrick White Play?

The Boston Celtics are at home on Saturday night as they host the Washington Wizards in an Eastern Conference matchup.

Boston enters Saturday’s game with a 43-23 record after losing on the road to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night.

In Thursday’s loss to the Thunder, Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics as he recorded 34 points, six rebounds and seven assists while Payton Pritchard added 14 points, four rebounds and four assists of his own.

Now Boston will try to bounce back at home on Saturday as they face off against a struggling Wizards team.

On the other side, Washington enters Saturday’s contest with a 16-49 record after losing on the road to the Orlando Magic in overtime on Thursday night.

Bilal Coulibaly led the way for the Wizards in Thursday’s loss as he ended the game with 29 points, five rebounds and five assists while Trae Young recorded 15 points, three rebounds and six assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Wizards Injury Report

For the Wizards, they have five players listed on their injury report for Saturday’s game in Boston.

Washington has ruled out Anthony Davis as he remains sidelined while recovering from a left finger sprain.

The Wizards have also ruled out Kyshawn George as he continues to recover from a left elbow sprain.

Cam Whitmore is set to miss the remainder of the season due to a blood clot in his right shoulder while D’Angelo Russell remains away from the team.

Sharife Cooper has been listed as questionable due to a right ankle and foot sprain and he is in danger of missing his first game since January 29.

Celtics Injury Report: Will Jayson Tatum, Derrick White Play?

On the other side, the Celtics have three players listed on their injury report, though star forward Jayson Tatum is not one of them.

Of course, Tatum missed Thursday’s loss to the Thunder due to right Achilles injury management but he is off the injury report and will return against the Wizards.

Boston has listed Derrick White as probable due to a right knee contusion and he is expected to return after missing Thursday’s loss.

The Celtics have also listed Baylor Scheierman as probable and he is expected to play despite dealing with a right ankle sprain while Nikola Vucevic remains sidelined while recovering from surgery to repair a fracture in his right ring finger.
