PORTLAND, OR. — The Wisconsin Badgers will not be taking High Point lightly.Â
The Badgers have familiarized themselves with High Point. Guard Nick Boyd knows a thing or two about taking a low-seed to the Final Four, as he helped Florida Atlantic reach the Final Four in 2023.Â
Wisconsin has made it priority number one to not falling into the normal 12-5 upset that is so common in these NCAA Tournament games.Â
“I definitely been in their shoes before in a sense,” Boyd said. “I know they are going to come out ready to fire and be aggressive and try and punk us a little bit, that our job to kind of weather that storm and do as best as we can.”Â
“Very good team obviously 31 teams.” guard John Blackwell said. “We just got to shut their transition off, make them play a halfcourt game shut their confidence off.”Â
“They are a really good team, obviously won 30 games this year.” Center Will Garlock said. “Fast-paced team, I think they are top-ten in the country in terms of their pace.” “Really good on defense try to get steals, be in the gaps heavy, and they are a really good team it will be a fun game.”Â
