Carrie Coon, 45, has been married to Tracy Letts, 61, since 2013.

The White Lotus star’s husband is also heavily involved in the entertainment industry being that he’s an award-winning playwright.

Carrie first met Tracy in a very romantic way in 2010.

The duo first locked eyes when she auditioned for “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” in Chicago. Two years later, the play went to Broadway and by then, the two were already a couple.

In 2013, the pair tied the knot and they welcomed Haskell Letts in 2018, as well as their daughter in 2021, whose name has not been publicly shared.

Who is Tracy Letts?

Tracy, who’s originally from Oklahoma, wrote the popular play August: Osage County, for which he earned a Pulitzer Prize.

The play was inspired by Tracy’s personal hardships. He revealed to NPR: “It’s based on family history. My grandfather — my mother’s father — committed suicide when I was 10 years old … My grandmother descended into years of downer addiction, which had a horrible impact on my family, and has ripples in my family even to this day.”

In 2014, the play was adapted into a hit film starring Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep.

He wrote the plays Killer Joe, and Bug and Man from Nebraska as well. Carrie starred in a revival of his play Bug and Man from Nebraska on Broadway, which also earned her a Tony nomination. 

Tracy is also an actor and appeared in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? which earned him a Tony Award.

He’s also been featured in The Post, Lady Bird, The Big Short, Prison Break, Homeland and Seinfeld.

Besides the pair both being featured in the Broadway play, the duo have also acted together in The Post and The Sinner.

Carrie loves their relationship and gushed about it to The Guardian, expressing: “I have a healthy, happy marriage. When I was younger, let’s say I didn’t always conduct myself with integrity in my relationships. Now I’ve found a partner who I can be truly honest with, I never want to go back.”

Carrie reflected on how Tracy positively changed as soon as she revealed to him that she was pregnant with their first born.

She recalled to Harper’s Bazaar: “When I got pregnant with our son four years ago, Tracy really went into overdrive. It was as though there was some biological imperative to take care of his family that kicked in. He just said yes to everything.”
