Khloé Kardashian hasn’t even premiered her new reality show yet, but some fans are already questioning whether it’s going to be a hit.

The Girls: A Khloé Kardashian Project is scheduled to premiere Aug. 21 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, but viewers have already been discussing the show’s social-media presence ahead of its debut.

The six-part series follows Kardashian’s close friends as they navigate motherhood, careers, relationships and life in the public eye. Kardashian serves as an executive producer and appears alongside Natalie Halcro, Khadijah Haqq, Malika Haqq, Yris Palmer, Olivia Pierson and Nicole Williams English.

But fans have focused on one unexpected detail: the show’s official TikTok account has reportedly attracted only a few hundred followers ahead of its premiere.

That has prompted some social-media users to question whether the series is already struggling to generate interest.

Some fans have reportedly described the show as having “flopped” before it even aired, while others have expressed surprise at the relatively small TikTok following given Kardashian’s massive personal audience.

The show’s Instagram account has performed better, with nearly 30,000 followers, and there are also viewers who have expressed excitement about finally seeing Kardashian’s inner circle get their own reality-TV spotlight.

Kardashian previously introduced the project as a look at the women closest to her, giving viewers a chance to see the friendships and personal lives that exist outside the larger Kardashian-Jenner family.

Whether the social-media numbers translate into actual viewership remains to be seen.

For now, The Girls has one more hurdle to clear before fans can decide for themselves.
