ABC News has promoted Jon Schlosberg to executive producer of This Week with George Stephanopoulos starting May 6.
Based in Washington, D.C., the network veteran will work with George Stephanopoulos, Martha Raddatz and Jonathan Karl on the Sunday morning news show, while reporting to Washington bureau chief Rick Klein. Before joining ABC News in 2018, Schlosberg was a producer at ABC News-owned TV stations KGO-TV in San Francisco and at WVUE-TV in New Orleans.
At ABC News, Schlosberg joined as producer, helping to launch the 24/7 streaming news channel ABC News Live. Since 2021, he worked as a senior producer for the ABC News Live’s Prime with Linsey Davis nightly newscast.
“Jon is a tenacious journalist and exceptional leader who has been instrumental across the ABC News Group for more than a decade, bringing precision, creativity and integrity to some of the most consequential stories of our time. His sharp political instincts, deep experience in linear as well as streaming television, and proven ability to build winning teams make him exactly the right person to lead ‘This Week’ into its next chapter,” Klein said in a statement.
ABC News’ coverage Schlosberg has contributed to includes multiple election cycles, political conventions, televised presidential debates and the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Gaza wars, among other international conflicts.
Schlosberg has earned two duPont-Columbia honors, including for ABC News’ work on the 2024 presidential debate. He has also won an Emmy Award and Edward R. Murrow Award for the network’s climate coverage.
