Jermod McCoy, More Former Tennessee Football Stars Back in NFL Preseason Action on Thursday

As the countdown to football season marches on, the NFL preseason turns to week two of its slate. This will, again, feature a good number of former Tennessee football stars looking to cement themselves in the league.

This week features a number of Tennessee rookies. Most notably, Raiders cornerback Jermod McCoy will take the field again. After recovering from his knee injury, he was back in action in their first game and played 30 snaps. However, he registered a low PFF grade of 39.1. With a week under his belt, he’ll look to bounce back against the Texans.

On the Houston roster, undrafted free agent defensive lineman Dominic Bailey is rostered. He mostly played defensive end for the Vols, but also slid inside to play tackle. The interior position is where the Texans have typically used him.

In the next game, the 49ers have undrafted free agent Bryson Eason on the roster. One of the most sought-after UDFA signings this year, the defensive tackle has a real chance of making the team if he can play well in the preseason.

The other former Vol on the slate is second-year wide receiver Dont’e Thornton Jr. for the Raiders. He is looking to secure a spot in the rotation for Las Vegas with a strong preseason.
