SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are searching for the driver who sent a woman to the hospital after striking two cars and fleeing the scene.

The crash happened around 9:50 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Ruiz Street and South Zarzamora Street.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, a Hyundai Tucson traveling west on Ruiz Street ran a red light at the intersection, crashing into a Jeep Cherokee and a Toyota Corolla.

After the crash, the driver of the Hyundai got out of the vehicle and ran from the scene without providing information or helping those involved in the crash.

The driver of the Jeep Cherokee, a 57-year-old woman, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
