Galaxy S27 leaks detail lineup, cameras, silicon-carbon battery

While the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series has just debuted, there are some rumblings of Samsung’s next non-folding flagships, with the Galaxy S27 series reportedly changing up the lineup and bringing camera upgrades too.
In a new report, WinFuture details changes to the upcoming Galaxy S27 lineup, including new evidence that a “Galaxy S27 Pro” is coming.
Based on import/export data, this report found that Samsung’s next flagship lineup will consist of four smartphones, expected to be split into two “base” devices and two higher-end flagships, similar to Apple’s iPhone strategy. This has been expected for some time, with a “Galaxy S27 Pro” said to join the lineup as a smaller counterpart to the Ultra, with better cameras compared to the standard Galaxy S27 and S27+.
These devices are apparently codenamed “Next Miracle,” with “NM1,” “NM2,” “NM3,” and “NM4” on their way.

The report and one from GalaxyClub adds that Samsung is set to revamp the camera setup here, with the main updates being a new sensor for the main 50MP camera on S27 and S27+, an updated 50MP ultrawide on S27 Pro and Ultra (the same one in Galaxy Z Fold 8), and new selfie cameras on the top two models as well.
- Galaxy S27: 50MP main camera with new sensor, 12MP ultrawide, Telephoto camera TBD
- Galaxy S27+: 50MP main camera with new sensor, 12MP ultrawide, Telephoto camera TBD
- Galaxy S27 Pro: Main camera TBD, 50MP ultrawide (Sony IMX855), 50MP 5x telephoto, 16MP selfie with AF
- Galaxy S27 Ultra: Main camera TBD (likely 200MP), 50MP ultrawide (Sony IMX855), 50MP 5x telephoto, Second telephoto camera TBD, 16MP selfie with AF
Beyond this, yet another report details that the Galaxy S27 series will adopt silicon-carbon batteries, a step Samsung took first in its new Galaxy foldables this week. Capacities are unclear, but it’s apparently not a “significant increase.” It may or may not apply to the entire lineup due to “cost issues.” The same leaker also recently mentioned that Privacy Display may not expand to any other S27 models.
