COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – After finding out its region and seeding on Selection Sunday, the South Carolina Women’s Basketball team is preparing for its first game in the 2026 NCAA March Madness tournament.

Here’s everything we know so far about Saturday’s game.

WHEN IS THE GAME?

The Gamecocks will be playing on Saturday, March 21, at 1 p.m.

WHERE IS THE GAME?

The game will be held at Colonial Life Arena.

WHO WILL THE GAMECOCKS BE PLAYING?

The Gamecocks will be playing the winner of Thursday’s First Four matchup between No. 16 Southern and No. 16 Samford.

HOW CAN I WATCH THE GAME?

The game will be broadcast on ABC.

WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?

WHERE CAN I WATCH WIS’S COVERAGE OF THE GAME?

WIS will most likely recap the game in its sports block on Saturday and discuss it on Palmetto Sports Daily with other sports reporters from our sister stations in Greenville, Myrtle Beach, and Charleston.

A recap of the game will also be posted online as a web story.

You can also watch WIS’s first Chasing a Championship special, recounting the team’s journey to this year’s March Madness tournament on March 17 at 7:30 p.m.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IF THE GAMECOCKS WIN?

If the Gamecocks win, they will play the winner of No. 8 Clemson and No. 9 Southern Cal at Colonial Life Arena on March 23.

If the team makes it past the second round, they will head to Sacramento for the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight rounds. The Final Four will take place in Phoenix.
