For Fabregas, whose responsibility is clearly on the playing side, there is a balance to be struck between celebrating the spectacular journey Como have been on, and ensuring his players are not resting on their laurels.

“If you want to do that, retire and go write a book about what Como did. We must look at what is in front of us.”
