Abraham Toro has been one of the biggest reasons that Team Canada has made it to the World Baseball Classic quarterfinals.

If the Canadians are going to pull off an upset of Team USA and advance further in the WBC, Toro will have to continue to be at his best.
A recent tidbit was brought up on the broadcast during pool play, too — Toro speaks three languages.
That’s not a bad skill to have on the diamond.

What is Abraham Toro’s ethnicity?
Toro is a French-Canadian with Venezuelan roots.
He was born in Longueuil, Quebec to parents who were immigrants from Venezuela, according to The Athletic.

This is his second time playing for Canada in the WBC, also doing so in 2023.
What languages does Abraham Toro speak?
According to the Fox broadcasts, Toro is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
That makes sense based on his background, but it’s still a very cool thing.
Toro joined the Kansas City Royals this offseason after previously playing for the Boston Red Sox.
