DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A 1-year-old child has died after being hit by a pickup truck on private property in DeFuniak Springs, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a 44-year-old man driving a black Ford F-250 hit the child after the child walked into the truck’s path.

No other details have been released at this time.
